All components must be used together as instructed to ensure proper function.

REQUIRED TOOLS (Sold Seperately)

    • Smart-Bit Depth Setting Collar
    • Pro Plug System Structural 22mm Forstner Bit
  • FEATURES

    • Pro Plug System Structural Forstner Bit and Smart-Bit Depth Setting Collar creates a screw hole counterbore to match other system components
    • Plugs are for 2″ nominal (or greater) lumber
    • Kit packaging includes screws, glue nozzle, and plugs (tools sold separately)
    • Smart-Bit Depth Setting Collar prevents damage to wood surface
    • Screws feature either Type 17 auger tip (316 Stainless) or Tri-Forge™ (Black Exterior Grade Coating) for faster, easier insertion and to help prevent splitting
  • INSTALLATION

Follow all lumber manufacturer instructions, including specifications for screw spacing, and edge/end distances.

    • Align the underside of the Depth Setting Collar with the second groove
on the 22mm Forstner bit and tighten the set screw until the Depth
Setting Collar is firmly in place.
    • Pre-drill with the Forstner bit in a straight and steady fashion until the
Depth Setting Collar stops spinning. Remove any debris from the hole.
    • Drive the appropriate structural screw so that it is fully seated in
      the hole (Do not overdrive).
    • Apply glue to the hole. Attach the Glue Nozzle to the glue bottle.
Start with slit of the glue nozzle aligned against the side wall of the hole.
Gently squeeze the bottle and run the nozzle around the side wall of
hole until it is all coated.
    • Insert a wood plug into the hole and tap with a smooth, large-faced
hammer until the plug is flush with the lumber.
